The Memorial Plaque was presented to David G6DCT by Mrs Hart on 18th October 2010.
David Littlewood G6DCT becomes the first SARC member to be awarded the Robert Hart G4EJL Memorial Plaque for his fine examples of home constructed equipment exhibited at the Sheffield Amateur Radio Club in May 2010 Construction competition.
Annual SARC Construction Competition in memory of Robert Hart G4EJL is open to all members of SARC. The winner or winners depend on the number and level of entries , beginner or advanced. This award is to encourage technical knowledge and electronic and radio construction. Initially introduced by Peter Day G3PHO who is also a keen constructor.
Steve M1ERS personal shack, showing operation at night. Steve has various transceivers, Linear ampliers and antennas. Steve his also the owner of the MX0RCU promotion truck and also runs the GB7SF D Star Repeater and Fusion DMR Repeater.
David G6DCT personal Shack in spare bedroom. Equipment Kenwood TS590S HF + 6M Transceiver, ICOM ID880E VHF/UHF Transceiver with D Star. HF Antenna Home Brew Windom plus 10 metre 3 Element beam , VHF/UHF Co-linear at about 30 feet. Plus some Home Brew Radio Equipment. David also uses the ICOM IC7100 & Yaesu FT897D transceiver for mobile and portable use.
Roy G0NRM our oldest member who is now in his 90's and still going strong and deserved a place on our members new pages. Roy was in the RAF during World War II and worked on Radio Communications and RADAR equipment.Ron his a very clever fellow, very interesting to talk too and many tales to tell. I hope you keep us all interested and listening for many years to come.
